DESCRIPTION: This public speaking simulator, unofficially known as Breath, is a virtual reality game created for Google Cardboard. My team wanted to create a game that was designed to help people practice public speaking. After giving a presentation, they would be given a score that would be based off their performance.
ROLE: Lead Programmer and APK Tester. Programmed the core mechanics of the game, including functionality with Google Cardboard for Android devices. Built the project as an APK for testing on a mobile device.
PROJECT LENGTH: 5 Weeks.
POSTMORTEM: This project was my first time working with virtual reality, and was challenging to understand not only how to coordinate layouts and systems for VR platforms, but to also learn how important having seamless UI in a VR game is. If the UI is distracting in any way, it can immediately dampen the experience of the game.
